The Reserve Corps is a volunteer organization. Upon completion of the intensive training and field training programs, armed members are expected to volunteer at least 24 hours per month. Unarmed members are expected to volunteer at least 16 hours per month. Many of our volunteers go well above and beyond the minimum expectations as they enjoy providing voluntary service to the Washington, DC community. We encourage each of our reservists to perform at least one patrol shift per week.
